12 February 2008: The superb victory of Norbert Norman, combined with 27 positions in the top 250 of the Million Dollar Race has once more confirmed Belgium's status as the cradle of pigeonsport and as a strong force that cannot be ignored on the international forum! Congratulations to all our winners! We've just returned from South Africa and will present you with a full report later this week.

24 January 2008: Start sweating folks, because the final race is coming near. This week's midweek training number 9 confirmed the talent of the pigeons that hold the Belgian Superstar's top positions. "Hand of Peace" firmly maintains its first place. Once again it was the first Belgian bird home in the 21st position overall, showing it is a strong contender for winning the final on 2 February. 21 January 2008: Last Wednesday, Jerome & Marc Huybrechts' "Rise to the Stars" was the first Belgian bird in Training Flight 8b with a second position overall. Read our "In the spotlight" report by clicking here.
20 January 2008: Due to an extremely busy schedule we were not able to put some of our Belgian participants in the spotlight. However, we're now setting things right with no less than five articles about our top performers the past few weeks. (see below and scroll down to see them all)
We start of course with none other than Martyn & Jayne Mitchell, whose "Hand of Peace" has not been out of the top rankings for the past few weeks, not only taking the lead in our Belgian Superstar Competition, but winning Hot Spot 5 and the motorcar as well. Then we take a look at the De Scheemaecker Brothers, whose "Big Bambu" was the first Belgian pigeon on 19 December last. Click here for the full report.
Our next report concerns André Verhaeghe, first Belgian in Hot Spot 4, winning a 30th position with "Spartacus". Click here for the article.
Next we turn our spotlight on a man who needs no introduction: Jos Thoné. His "Paris Hilton" was the first Belgian bird on 27 December. Click here for the report.

14 January 2008: (This is a note to the Belgian participants of the MDPR, urging them to activate their remaining reserve birds before 19 January): Beste deelnemers: wij willen iedereen er graag nogmaals attent op maken dat vanaf 19 januari alle nog niet ingezette duiven "publiek" worden. Dat wil zeggen dat derden op dat moment uw nog niet ingezette duiven voor eigen rekening kunnen inzetten en dus ingeval van plaatsing bij de 250 eerste posities uiteraard ook het prijzengeld zullen opstrijken. Wilt u dit beletten dan dient u onverwijld het nodige te doen zodat uw inschrijvingsgeld voor 19 januari op de rekening van de organisatoren toekomt. Voor verdere inlichtingen kan u mij steeds contacteren.
12 January 2008: The Belgian participants do it again in the Million Dollar Race! Hot Spot 5: Martyn Mitchell's "Hand of Peace", the current leader of the Belgian Superstar wins the car, Herbots family and Norbert De Schrijver/Philippe Brantegem complete the Belgian super score. Just like in Hot Spot 2 the Belgians take victory and score 3 positions in the top 10. More news will follow as the results become official. 07 January 2008: Keen readers of our website will have noticed we have added a menu item at left. As of 2008 Frank Daelemans will also be the Belgian coördinator for the PA Dutch Classic one loft race in Red Lion Pennsylvania, USA. Frank joins the team of Race Director Kyle Bolton and Race Consultant Carroll Hoover with the aim of building the PA Dutch into a true Classic one loft race that can stand shoulder to shoulder with the best in the world. Stay tuned for more information on this race. For starters you can already have a look at the PA Dutch Classic website.
07 January 2008: Things are heating up in the Belgian Superstar Competition as Martin Mitchell's "Hand of Peace" is gaining ground fast on leader "Hoshi" of Jimmy Brands and the Dingemans family.
