06 February 2010: We have a winner! The final race is over and the Sun City Million Dollar Pigeon Race has yielded the result for our Belgian Superstar Competition. This year's top position goes to Pinguin Syndicate whose bird "Woody" beat all the others to take top honours (picture below). Stan Van Beemen (left) and Jos Beyens (right), two of Pinguin Syndicate's members, proudly pose at the Saturday night prizegiving gala dinner of the Sun City Million Dollar Race. Alfons 'Stan' Van Gastel, the third member of the syndicate celebrated at home. Not only did they win the Belgian Superstar, Pinguin Syndicate managed to get three birds in the top 66 of the race!

11 December 2009: Our Janssen Arendonk icon, the old blue hen, 6150161/89 "Schoon Blauw Janssen", also known as "Zacht Blauw" passed away this morning. Born in January 1989, she died just a few weeks short of her 21st birthday. This fantastic breeding hen, mother of generations of champions all over the world, produced her last youngsters in 2007 at the amazing age of 18. She spent the last couple of years of her life in comfort on our lofts until old age finally caught up with her. She will be missed.
